Model #3

The third model for my Figure Drawing class was also the first (and only) male model we had. He was a college student, young and well fit. I think, for some reason, all my drawings of him turned out better than the female models, maybe because the females had more going on...hips, breasts, curves, etc. It was cool having a young model because he was able to do more interesting poses. For example, one day we tilted two platforms on their sides, and put a box on top of those for Max (the model) to sit on. He sat about six feet off the ground and was so high up there that the spotlights were below him. Everyone in class sat of the floor and looked up towards him to get an extreme view, which is what we are always looking for. Here are some of the first drawings of Max.
