Model #4

Model #4 was also young, but was our third female model. She was extremely nervous at the beginning, but once she broke out of her shell a little, she really got into the posing. She has some dancing background, so a lot of times she is able to be in uncomfortable poses for longer periods of time. I have a few drawings I've done that I have liked primarily because of the view from which I drew from.

The drawing below was one of the most uncomfortable for me. As you can see I am LITERALLY standing over her while she sits relaxed in a chair. This was actually my teachers idea. He is always moving my easel around the room, trying to find the most interesting perspective for me to draw from. I think the weirdest thing for me when I drew this was feeling like the whole class was staring at me, watching my every move. I was directly under the lights, along with the model. For the first time, I saw what it was like for the models to be the center of attention. Intimidating much?!
